A few weeks ago I posted a simple Bible journaling tutorial on a page covered with watercolor hearts. It was so well received because it was one of those tutorials that ANYONE can do. It also reminded me of a page I did when I first started Bible journaling with just triangles!
I remember feeling so proud and accomplished when I first created that triangle page, because it was simple but so striking! It meant so much to me at the time, and it still does!
While I strongly feel that Bible journaling is not about the “art” and that we should be proud of every page we make, it is still nice to feel that great sense of accomplishment with a page.
So, I decided to recreate my original page (almost three years later) and share it with you! My hope in sharing it is that you can see that you don’t need any special skills to do Bible journaling! Simple shapes, like triangles or hearts, can create BEAUTIFUL pages.
You’ll also see that I used watercolors, but you can totally do this with colored pencils, or your favorite Bible journaling medium of choice! As well, you can create this in your Bible like me, but it also is a great art project for outside of your Bible!
Remember, you can vary this up in so many ways! Do squares, or diamonds, instead of triangles. Make the colors super bright, or super muted! You can use one color scheme- such as all warm colors or all cool colors, or you can use a rainbow of colors as I did!
Have fun with it and make it your own!
So with no further ado, here is the simple geometric triangles Bible journaling tutorial!
