Oh, where does the time go! I can’t believe Easter was already almost five months ago. I had wanted to do an “Easter Bunny” Bible journaling page at actual easter time, but time got away from me and I didn’t get around to it until a few weeks ago.
I still decided to create my “Easter Bunny” page, because it’s always a good time to celebrate the resurrection of Christ! Am I right?
I did this page on Matthew 28:6 which says: “He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.”
It may feel a little odd to be painting something that is out of season (like painting snowflakes is summer), but there is no reason not to!
So today I’m going to show you how I painted my watercolor bunny in my journaling Bible!
I first created a bunny outline to trace onto my page using my iPad, and I will include it for you for free!

Of course, if you have other ideas on how to use the Bunny printable, I say GO FOR IT! Have fun!

Key Notes
- I do not prep my pages! I paint directly on the Journaling Bible page and do not have any bleed through with the supplies I use!
- I use the same eight supplies for 99% of my Bible journaling pages. Find out more about them HERE
- I personally do not mind painting over the text in my specific journaling Bibles, but that is a personal decision. Do what feels right for you! (The Interleaved Journaling Bible is a great Bible option, as it has full blank pages on every other page. So you can paint directly in the Bible without worrying about covering up the text.)
