Today’s tutorial is on how to paint a daisy with acrylics- THE EASY WAY.
Painting daisies this way is so fun, and I think is very beginner friendly!
To create the daisy you simply paint on a background (if you are creating a white daisy- if not, the background is not necessary). Then, use a pencil to lightly draw a circle to mark the center of your daisy. Next, load a small FLAT brush (I use 1/2″ or 13mm) with paint and place it down, perpendicular to your circle, about one inch from the circle and slowly drag it down towards the circle! Be sure to stop at the circle and not go too far inside it. Then, continue to create petals all around the circle to create the daisy!
You may want to go over your petals with another layer of paint to get it nice and opaque. Then, to finish it off, simply use a small round brush to dot in some yellow paints (and a super tiny bit of brown or black to add some shadows if you’d like) into the center. Add some leaves around the flower and you’re done!
The video below will help show you how to do it!
For my Bible journaling page, I worked on Psalm 139: 13-14 which says: “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” NIV. In the CSB version, which is the version of the journaling Bible I was using (I used The Illustrating Bible) it says “remarkably and wondrously made” which I loved as well.
The first half of this verse really spoke to me because my husband and I just happened to announce that I am pregnant with our first babe! We are so excited, blessed, and thankful!
I have been using all these apps to track how the baby is growing, and it truly is so remarkable and wonderful to realize how us humans grow from just tiny cells!
