A few months ago I stumbled upon Proverbs 28:1, which says, “The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.” I knew I needed to Bible journal this passage and of course, a lion was the first thing to come to mind for inspiration!
But animals are hard to paint! Instead of worrying about the body, I decided to paint just the head of the lion and a profile view rather than straight on. This makes it so much simpler! I also created a quick outline to use as a guide for the Bible journaling page, which created even more ease! Click the link below to download the printable I used for free!

I also wanted to make it a little more fun so chose to make my lion very colorful! I used acrylic paints and my Illustrating Bible to create my page, but I would encourage you to give this a try in whatever way speaks to you!
