So, the other day I was doodling on my iPad and came up with some simple florals that are great to use for Bible worship! I used one of the groups of flowers to create a super simple and quick page, and made that video into a tutorial! Of course, I am also including the sheet of florals here for you to download

Since Thanksgiving (for us in the U.S.) is this week I thought it would be fun to tie that verse to something that makes me think of Thanksgiving.. PIE!
I had never painted a pie before! Of course, my first thoughts were to do a pumpkin or pecan or apple pie, but I just didn’t think those would look as pretty as a cherry pie, haha. So I painted a cherry pie with a classic lattice top- I encourage you to have fun with this idea and make it your own though!

This time I went a more geometric route and added more colors to create a bright and vibrant Bible journaling page. It was SO MUCH fun and an ahhhhmazing time with the Lord.
Of course, I am including the triangle pattern that I created and used for you to have for free.

I was reading in the gospel of John and came upon verses 7: 37-38 which say: “On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’ ”. I knew I wanted to paint a waterfall and river to illustrate this verse and the “living water”, but I had never painted a waterfall before!

So over two years ago I did a tutorial on a watercolor forest and included a three-page free printable with it. I always loved that tutorial, though it didn’t get a ton of traction, and I totally forgot about it until recently!

This year Easter sure looks different. It will be hard not to be able to celebrate this great holiday at church or with family and friends. But going through times like these really makes you grateful for the things we do have, doesn’t it? I know I’m so thankful for technology and being able to watch church online and connect with family and friends through FaceTime/skype!…This abstract sun is simple. It is great for beginners. Though it is a little more time consuming, it provides a wonderful time of meditation and prayer.

These times facing Covid-19 are crazy, aren’t they? It is so hard not to let fear or anxiety to creep in, especially when the future seems so unknown. But, we can rest in the truth that God is always good and he is present. Together, we will get through this.
I hand-lettered eight (of the very very many) encouraging verses to help us overcome our anxieties and fears and uncertainties. It is available as a free download/ Printable!

Psalms 143:6 “I stretch out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you like a parched land.”
When I read this verse I knew I needed to journal it in my Bible. Of course, the first thing to pop into my mind was a desert. I decided to paint this desert scene and add some simple lettering. I felt like it was the perfect representation of this verse, and that helped me to stay focused on the Word while painting it. My soul thirsts for you Lord!
