I was reading in the gospel of John and came upon verses 7: 37-38 which say: “On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’ ”. I knew I wanted to paint a waterfall and river to illustrate this verse and the “living water”, but I had never painted a waterfall before!

So over two years ago I did a tutorial on a watercolor forest and included a three-page free printable with it. I always loved that tutorial, though it didn’t get a ton of traction, and I totally forgot about it until recently!

I made a little owl outline/printable months and months ago, but somehow I forgot about it and never got around to doing a tutorial Bible journaling page with it! But thankfully, when I asked on Instagram what kinds of tutorials my followers wanted to see, someone said “an owl!” and I was reminded that I had that printable!
So in today’s video I’ll show you how I painted a cute fuzzy owl, using the printable outline, in my Bible!

Today I am painting some loose wildflowers using acrylic paints. I’m working on Hebrews 10:19-25. This paragraph just hit me right in the gut when I stumbled upon it. These current times we are in, with the Coronavirus, have been so tough, and I felt these verses to be so encouraging. Let us hold fast knowing the truth that we have eternal life because of Jesus. And even though with social distancing and staying home it is hard to meet together, let’s not neglect to connect in other ways and encourage each other! God is so faithful and we will continue to get through this together.

…Remember, because we are Bible journaling, there should be no pressure! Bible journaling is not about creating the greatest piece of art! It is all about spending time in the word and worshiping him. Using art to glorify him! So no matter what you create, it will be beautiful in the eyes of the Lord!

This year Easter sure looks different. It will be hard not to be able to celebrate this great holiday at church or with family and friends. But going through times like these really makes you grateful for the things we do have, doesn’t it? I know I’m so thankful for technology and being able to watch church online and connect with family and friends through FaceTime/skype!…This abstract sun is simple. It is great for beginners. Though it is a little more time consuming, it provides a wonderful time of meditation and prayer.
