I have been painting this one type of forest scene a lot lately. I did it first on the cover of a Bible and just loved it, so I have painted it a bunch of times since!
I showed these paintings on my Instagram stories and got so many followers asking for a tutorial, so today I thought I would go ahead and do one!

Have you heard of the Bible journaling “napkin technique”? It’s a very common technique in the Bible journaling community and for good reason! It’s easy to do, not all too expensive, and you can create beautiful pages with endless designs.

I had a short time while the baby napped to do some Bible journaling, so I decided to do a quick and easy watercolor background so that I could try out some of the new colors. This watercolor background is so simple that anyone can do it. It’s particularly great for those just starting out with adding paint to their Bible.
